The Yoga Illumined Teacher Training is designed to provide all participants with the foundations of Yoga in order to teach and share the practice with others. Participants who complete all 200 hours // 185 classroom hours with Sumukhi (Kristina Lanuza) and Special Guest Teachers along with 15 Hours of individual study will be granted a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate that is honored by Yoga Alliance.

Pre-requisites and requirements

• On-going, current practice of yoga

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Responsible and respectful of others

• An Interview on Zoom/online or in person meeting with Sumukhi is required for acceptance into the program

• We will highly suggest on-going therapy with licensed counselors throughout the Yoga Illumined program: must be very open to transformation and therapy in all forms

Yoga Illumined Yoga Teacher Training Required Texts:

1. Fundamentals of Yoga by Ramamurti S. Mishra, M.D. / Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati

2. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Ramamurti S. Mishra, M.D. / Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati

   The above two texts can be purchased online via anandabookstore.com: AshramStore.com (anandabookstore.com) or can be found online. You may also bring copies of the Yoga Sutras from various translators but we will be chanting the sutras in Sanskrit and reviewing translations together in class.

4. Yoga Illumined e-Books provided upon acceptance into Yoga Illumined

Yoga Teacher Training Total is $3600 USD. We will collect payments only after we have received your application and you have been accepted officially into the program. Once you are accepted you may make payments to Yoga Illumined (sumukhidevi.com). We accept credit card, check, debit and payment plans which must be paid in full up to 12 months from the start of the program. Hours can also be accumulated from Yoga Illumined retreats and special events. Fees will be adjusted accordingly but do not include travel and accommodation. (You may apply Yoga Illumined events & time with Sumukhi and approved teachers towards your hours for certification).

• A non-refundable down Payment of $360 for the Yoga Teacher training is due upon acceptance into the program.

If you have questions about whether or not you should apply here are some guidelines:

• If you are currently suffering or have been diagnosed with any physical or mental illnesses that would prevent you from fully participating in movements or interactions with fellow participants, we do not recommend applying to the Teacher Training program.

• For those in recovery from addictions, confer with your sponsor prior to applying and please disclose treatment/prognosis in the application (all information is confidential).

• People come to yoga because of its numerous physical, mental, spiritual and health benefits. We will only accept participants into the Yoga Teacher Training who have a strong, knowledgeable sense of self and personal boundaries as we are not equipped to work with those with extreme physical or mental health issues.

• The Immersion part of the Training which does not require an application as no certificates will be granted may be something to consider for those who simply wish to deepen their understanding and practice of Yoga.
